www.yourinstrument.com, a new online marketplace for guitarists and other musicians, has launched with the mission of making it easy to buy and sell gear online.
The cool thing about yourinstrument.com is that it is built by musicians and that it is dedicated only to musical instruments and related equipment. There are no commission fees, and used items can be listed for free!
There is a huge range of guitars on the site (about 1400 acoustic and electric guitars when I checked) as well as amps, stomp boxes and other instruments. The filtering let’s you quickly and easily drill down and find exactly what you are looking for. I was interested to see what ERG’s were available and the 3 steps of categories returned 6 current 7 & 8 string guitars for sale.
There are a number of quick links setup to get to the most popular categories on yourinstrument.com such as
electric guitars for sale and stomp boxes. What made me really happy was that I discovered that there is also an Aussie version of the site at http://www.yourinstrument.com.au! Great timing too as I’m getting close to selling my amp.
It’s good to see a small company trying to compete with the likes of Ebay and Craigslist (in the US) and Yourinstrument.com also aims to support up and coming artists through both sponsorship and education.
