English Amplifier company Victory Amplifiers headed up by ex-Cornford Amplification’s Martin Kidd has released four standard models; the V10, V30, V50 and V100 and now they have introduced the Rob Chapman signature amp, the Silverback, which Rob has been working on with Martin for a couple of years now and it is finally in production.
Format: Two-channel head
Power: 50/15 watts RMS
Valves: 4 x 12AX7, 1 x 12AT7, 2 x EL34 (switchable to 6L6)
Extra features: Pull crunch for clean channel, gain boost for overdrive channel, spring reverb, effects loop with wet/dry mix control, high/low power switch, selectable output bias for EL34 or 6L6 power valves, ‘magnetic ‘Knobguard’, flip-up valve access grille, two carry handles
I think the trap door on top is a great idea to make changing tubes incredibly easy.
