The Jim Kelley Single-Channel Model is a 60 watt all-tube amplifier designed to retain your guitar’s natural tonal characteristics. It delivers a broad range of punchy, high powered clean and smooth dynamic overdrive tones. The Single-Channel model features a versatile pre-amp/power amp circuit, active shelving tone controls, four 6V6 output tubes and reverb.
So is this a Suhr Amplifier or a Jim Kelley Amplifier? Well the faceplate reads JS Technologies Inc so I guess it’s a Suhr, despite the Jim Kelley Amplifiers badge, yes I’m a bit confused too.
This amp has a half power switch to operate at 30 watts, Reverb, a Presence control which you activate by pulling the gain knob out, a Bright control by pulling the Treble control and a Mid Boost by pulling the Bass control. It has Hi and Lo inputs depending on whether you use active or passive pickups and Boost which “Provides a Post-EQ boost in gain to the output section for more saturation while leaving the pre-amp clean and punchy.” It is fitted with a single EVM-12L speaker and of course is constructed from what appears to beautiful figured Maple. Check out the demo below, I really like the Overdriven tone!
