I’m a big fan of the Fender Cabronita, it started out life as a limited edition custom shop guitar that was very expensive, then due to demand Fender created a Mexican made version which was much more affordable and then further to that created a thinline version too which is very cool.
Now Fender have taken it one step further by creating a super affordable version under their Chinese production Squier brand called a Squier Vintage Modified Cabronita. I believe that all of Fender’s Modern Player Series are made in the same Fender China facility too before you start thinking that Chinese guitars are inferior.
The Squier Vintage Modified Cabronita Telecaster is available in two different versions, the second version has a Bigsby Trem fitted and a single coil pickup in the bridge position rather than the Fideli’Tron humbucker. Both guitars have a Basswood body, Maple neck and fretboard with a 9.5″ radius and 22 frets.
