MESA/Boogie Founder, Designer and President, Randall Smith, tells a few more stories from the early days of the original boutique amplifier company.
Randall talks about how the names MESA/Boogie and Mesa Engineering came to be and how Carlos Santana helped with the naming of the company. We also hear the story of Carlos’ first experience with what was originally intended as a practical joke and went on to become the first Boogie guitar amp! Randy also gives thanks to all the players who believed in the company in the early days and now.
Randall and the Mesa team continues our commitment of over 40 years to designing and hand building the ultimate instruments for electric guitar and bass, allowing you to find and define your musical voice. From Randall and all of us, thank you for choosing us to be a part of your musical expression and to be your amplifier company. Enjoy!
