Gretsch introduced a new series back in January 2012 called the Roots Collection, The mahogany-body Boxcar™ Standard and Bobtail™ Deluxe each came in round-neck and square-neck models, and the round-neck Honey Dipper™ had a nickel-plated brass body. The 2014 series includes two updated Bobtail and Honey Dipper models each available with either a square shaped neck for lapsteel style slide or a round neck for more traditional playing. My favourite addition is the weathered delta blue finish available on the Honey Dipper.
