It seems there are no bounds to what you can do with an iPhone, this latest app is a collaboration of Line 6 & D’Addario who already have a couple of iPhone apps the Chord Master and the Scale Wizard. Today they have announced MIDI Mobilizerâ„¢, a new portable MIDI interface, and Planet Waves® Rig Remoteâ„¢, new iPhoneâ„¢ software that will enable guitarists to control Line 6 guitars and amplifiers via Apple® iPhone and iPod® touch. Line 6 will manufacture and sell MIDI Mobilizer hardware which will be the interface for the Line 6 modelling amps and will let you change presets, turn on and off effects and adjust the settings.

Sounds impressive, I wonder if similar systems will be developed for other modelling amp manufacturers such as Vox and Peavey? I can’t see them wanting to miss out.
