Marty Friedman’s new album ‘Inferno’ was announced in December and offered us guitar nerds some exciting news because Marty has written a new instrumental metal album which is a departure from the kind of music he has been involved in for a long time. Just after that announcement PRS announced a new signature guitar which, to my surprise, is an affordable SE model, the PRS SE Marty Friedman. It really shouldn’t have been a surprise though as when I saw Marty at a clinic he was happy using a guitar straight off the shelf and he seems like the kind of guy that would rather people could actually afford something with his name on. So that leads on to the new song Steroidhead which you can hear above and I don’t know about you but I’m loving what I’m hearing! Way heavier than I was expecting, can’t wait to hear the whole album.
