Last time I posted about guitars for kids I still had 6 months to wait for my daughter to be born, I found some pretty cool kids guitars and in particular liked the Epiphone Mini V (although the Washburn is very nice), well I don’t quite know how I found this but I came across coolkidguitars.com which has a number of electric and acoustic guitars and packages. The electric guitars are 31″ long and feature a single pickup. As you can see the guitar that really stood out for me was the Giraffe Guitar, because not only does it look like a Giraffe and have cool inlays and Giraffe head headstock but it is also a Flying V! Very creative. The guitar also has a built in speaker so your kid can rock out at the Zoo whilst tormenting real Giraffes. Apparently the accompanying amp kicks out a whopping 5 watts of pure transistor mayhem and has an Overdrive button to make the Giraffe roar like a… well you get the idea. But don’t worry, it also comes with a headphone jack so you won’t get too tired of listening to Old MacDonald.
The guitar & amp costs $129.95 and is available through the coolkidguitars.com website.
If Giraffes are not your thing you may prefer a Panda guitar? Or maybe something a little more traditional for your offspring such as this Sunburst model.
