When Blake Wright from the now defunct What’s That Dude Play? about his idea to launch a new online guitar magazine I immediately offered to contribute to the first issue. I decided to conduct an interview with Steve Bragg, the founder of Empress Effects which you can read in the first issue of Gearphoria here. While I knew Blake would put something good together I had no idea really how great this magazine was going to be, I am totally blown away at the amount of work that has gone into the production of this first issue. Not only does it look like one of the big name guitar mags it has the content to match! Blake has assembled a great team of contributors for the launch including Peter Hodgson of I Heart Guitar, Bart Provoost of Effects Database, Zachary Vex of Z.Vex Effects, Jane Smith of Fuzz Box Girl and Adam Grimm of Satellite Amplifiers. Aside from the contributors Blake has written a lot of great content himself including a feature and interview with Dave Grissom.
