The T-Rex Hobo Drive pedal has a 2-stage preamp controlled via traditional Preamp and Master volume controls and a Tone control to help smooth out your tone or add a little top end but the beauty of the Hobo Drive is that it has a warm, vintage amp sounding overdrive tone. The pedal also includes a Boost switch and Boost Volume control but not only that you a toggle switch allows you to decide whether you want the Boost in Pre or Post mode. When you are in Post mode you can use the Boost Volume to set a higher volume for solo breaks etc. which let’s face it, EVERY guitarist wants, or you can use Pre mode and boost the signal before the preamp adding more gain to the signal which is like having an external clean boost pedal placed before it.
