I’m not sure how, but I totally managed to miss the announcement of the Egnater HG series at NAMM 2012. This series is a range of new higher gain (hence the HG!) versions of Bruce Egnater’s popular amps the Rebel, Renegade and Tourmaster. I had the chance to not only talk to Bruce Egnater but also listen to him explaining each amp in his range and listening to demos of each at a seminar in Sydney a couple of years ago (read the review here -
http://www.guitarnoize.com/bruce-egnater-seminar-at-the-australian-institute-of-music-7-4-10/) and I was very impressed by all of his amps and their features but in particular the Renegade and Tourmaster. I have always thought they would look cool in all black and that brushed aluminium logo looks very cool indeed. Obviously these amps are aimed at the Metal market and the new cabinets follow the same design aesthetics.
HG circuitry offers substantially higher gain without sacrificing the great tonal characteristic of their predecessors. The HG Series has been modernized with all black cosmetics and a new brushed aluminum logo. Custom engineered for optimum sonic response, each hand crafted HG cabinet produces tight, clear sound and maximum low-end.
