Apogee have announced the update of their popular USB Audio Interface the Duet 2 just in time for MusikMesse 2011 and I have to say this is the sexiest looking Audio Interface I have ever seen. This is what Audio Interfaces would look like if Apple designed them. Aside from the stunning looks and incredibly simplicity of the hardware it boasts some impressive features such as 2 analog inputs; Combination Line/Mic/Instrument, 4 analog outputs – Separate headphone and speaker outs and 24-bit/192kHz recording! Apogee also have a separate accessory for Duet 2 available, a solidly built aluminum breakout box with 2 1/4' instrument inputs, 2 XLR microphone inputs and 2 balanced XLR outputs. The breakout box features studio-quality I/O connectors and includes a 2 meter cable for connection to and from Duet 2.
Having already reviewed the Apogee One and being very impressed I am seriously considering retiring my Tapco LiNK for one of these bad boys.
